Bridgeport Equipment is your leading rental store in the Ohio Valley. We are looking for a mechanic to add to our team. The potential employee will be stationed in our garage or may be called to travel to jobsites for repairs. Duties & responsibilities: Diagnose and repair different types of diesel and gas equipment Decide if the equipment can easily be repaired onsite or if it needs taken to our shop for extensive repairs. Provide routine and preventive maintenance on the equipment, including oil changes, inspections, replacing parts as needed. Perform all duties in an independent manner with minimal direction and supervision by consistently showing ability to recognize and deal with priorities. Work well and maintain cooperative working relationships with the managers, other employees, suppliers, and customers. Work directly with the parts department, service writer, or supervisor if ordering of parts is needed.

Qualifications & Experience:

You must provide your own basic tools and storage for said tools. Must be personable, highly motivated, a problem solver, reliable, ethical and able to adapt to all forces around them from customers, suppliers, coworkers and manufacturers. Requires a valid driver's license as well as an insurable driving record. You are required to pass a background check as well as a drug test prior to employment. Requires prolonged standing with periodic lifting, walking, standing, bending, stooping and stretching Requires ability to push, lift, pull and/or carry 75 lbs. or more
