Job Summary We are seeking an Experienced Chrysler Parts Counter Person to join our dynamic automotive team. In this role, you will serve as a vital link between customers and our parts department, providing expert assistance in identifying, sourcing, and selling automotive parts and accessories. Your extensive mechanical knowledge and dealership experience will ensure that customers receive accurate information and exceptional service. Duties Assist customers in selecting the correct automotive parts and accessories based on vehicle specifications, utilizing comprehensive parts catalogs and inventory systems. Provide detailed technical advice on automotive diagnostics, vehicle maintenance, and repair procedures to support customer needs. Manage inventory control by stocking, organizing, and replenishing parts efficiently while maintaining accurate records within the inventory management system. Process sales transactions accurately using point-of-sale (POS) systems, handle cash and electronic payments, and ensure proper cashiering procedures. Build strong customer relationships through effective communication, understanding client needs, and offering tailored product recommendations. Collaborate with service technicians and sales teams to fulfill orders promptly while ensuring stock availability aligns with demand. Utilize Microsoft Office tools for documentation, reporting, and correspondence related to parts management. Maintain a clean, organized workspace adhering to safety standards and dealership policies. Engage in ongoing training to stay current with automotive diagnostics, vehicle systems, and industry trends. Support dealership operations by managing order fulfillment, tracking shipments, and coordinating with suppliers. Experience Proven dealership experience as a Parts Counter Person or similar role within the automotive industry. Extensive knowledge of automotive parts and accessories sales, including mechanical troubleshooting and vehicle systems. Demonstrated ability in inventory management, stock control, and order fulfillment processes. Proficiency with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software or similar inventory management tools. Strong sales management skills combined with negotiation techniques to maximize customer satisfaction and sales volume. Bilingual or multilingual abilities are considered an asset for communicating with diverse clientele. Familiarity with retail math principles, POS systems, cash handling procedures, and customer relationship building strategies. Experience in automotive repair environments is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written—alongside organizational skills necessary for multitasking in a busy dealership setting. Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies such as automotive diagnostics tools or dealership management software.
