EXPERIENCED SEMI-TRAILER PARTS COUNTER SALES REPRESENTATIVE
Transportation Supply Depot - Vandalia, Ohio Full-Time | Monday-Friday Transportation Supply Depot is looking for an experienced Semi-Trailer Parts Sales Representative to join our growing team. This position is ideal for someone who understands commercial trailer parts, enjoys helping customers, and can accurately identify the right parts to keep fleets and repair shops moving. We are looking for a dependable, motivated professional who takes pride in providing excellent customer service and building long-term relationships.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist customers at the parts counter, by phone, and through email Identify and source parts for dry vans, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, liftgates, and other commercial equipment Look up parts using catalogs, vendor websites, diagrams, measurements, and part numbers Prepare quotes and process customer orders Maintain communication with customers regarding pricing, availability, and delivery times Recommend related parts and complete repair solutions Work closely with outside sales representatives, service technicians, and the warehouse team Order non-stock and special-order items from vendors Verify incoming parts and ensure orders are accurate Follow up on open quotes, backorders, and customer requests Build relationships with fleet customers, repair facilities, owner-operators, and local businesses Maintain accurate customer and sales records Help keep the parts counter and showroom organized and professional
QUALIFICATIONS
Previous experience in semi-trailer, heavy-duty truck, automotive, equipment, or industrial parts sales is strongly preferred Knowledge of commercial trailer components, including brakes, suspension, wheel-end, electrical, lighting, air systems, doors, body components, and liftgates Strong customer service and communication skills Ability to read parts diagrams and identify components from descriptions, measurements, or damaged samples Comfortable using computers, email, inventory systems, and online parts catalogs Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple customers and orders in a fast-paced environment Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic Ability to lift and carry parts weighing up to approximately 50 pounds Valid driver's license preferred
