Your responsibilities will include:
Assist retail and wholesale customers with identifying and purchasing the correct parts Recommend related or companion parts and accessories when appropriate Answer phone calls and provide pricing, availability, and product information Pull and prepare parts for customers, technicians, deliveries, and shipments Check inventory and order parts that are not currently in stock Assist Service Technicians in identifying and obtaining parts needed for repairs Notify the appropriate team members and customers when special-ordered parts arrive Assist outside sales representatives with orders and customer requests Prepare daily parts for shipment, delivery, or customer pickup Follow up on backorders and special orders Solicit and maintain relationships with assigned wholesale accounts Process parts returns and credits according to dealership procedures Ensure proper documentation and authorization for charge and tax-exempt sales Provide friendly, professional, and efficient service to customers and dealership departments Maintain accurate records and follow dealership processes Keep the Department Running Smoothly You'll also help keep the Parts Department organized, efficient, and ready to serve our customers by: Replenishing assigned inventory Keeping front and rear counter areas clean and organized Assisting with inventory and lost-sale tracking Staying current on new products, parts, and product updates Participating in dealership and manufacturer training programs Maintaining a clean and organized workspace Assisting with local parts deliveries as a backup driver when needed What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who is friendly, dependable, organized, and comfortable working with both customers and a team of automotive professionals.
Ideal candidates will have:
Previous automotive parts department experience preferred Previous sales or customer service experience preferred Knowledge of automotive parts and terminology Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple customers and requests at the same time Professional appearance and positive attitude Valid driver's license and good driving record High school diploma or equivalent Automotive experience is a plus, but we're also willing to train the right person who has the right attitude, work ethic, and desire to learn.
