Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Parts Associate and become a vital part of delivering exceptional automotive service! In this energetic role, you will be the go-to expert for automotive parts and accessories, ensuring our customers and technicians have the right components to keep vehicles running smoothly. Your enthusiasm for automotive repair and parts management will drive customer satisfaction and operational excellence. Duties Customer Service & Sales:
Assists retail clients and internal service advisors with selecting required parts and suggests companion parts or sales specials to maximize the order.
Order Fulfillment:
Accurately pulls and fills parts orders from the stockroom, ensuring items are properly billed to repair orders or invoices.
Sourcing & Ordering:
Locates out-of-stock items, submits emergency orders, and tracks special order part requests, notifying technicians and customers when they arrive.
Inventory Management:
Takes inventory of stock, maintains organized shelving, and conducts regular bin checks to ensure accurate counts.
Pricing & Estimates:
Reviews repair estimates to verify that the ordered parts are correct and priced accurately per the estimate.
Communication:
Answers incoming phone calls, handles parts inquiries, provides price quotes, and updates customers and advisors on the status of back-ordered parts.
Key Requirements & Skills Automotive Knowledge:
A solid understanding of automotive mechanics, systems, and the ability to confidently read and interpret parts catalogs.
Computer & Technical Skills:
Familiarity with dealership inventory management systems, Point of Sale (POS) software, and electronic parts catalogs.
Organizational Skills:
High attention to detail is necessary to keep documentation, invoices, and physical warehouse stock perfectly organized.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods and frequently lift or move heavy auto parts, often weighing up to 50 pounds.
Qualifications:
Experienced in General Motors and Chrysler/Stellantis a plus but willing to train the right person.
