Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as a Parts Specialist and become a vital contributor to delivering exceptional automotive parts and accessories service. In this energetic role, you will leverage your mechanical knowledge and customer service skills to assist clients in finding the right parts, manage inventory efficiently, and support vehicle maintenance needs. Your proactive approach will ensure smooth operations, foster customer relationships, and drive sales growth in a fast-paced dealership environment. Responsibilities Assist customers in identifying and selecting the correct automotive parts and accessories through expert product knowledge and effective communication. Manage inventory control by stocking, organizing, and maintaining parts shelves using inventory management systems such as CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) and POS (Point of Sale) software. Process sales transactions accurately, including cash handling, cashiering, and POS operations, ensuring a seamless customer experience. Collaborate with the service department to support vehicle maintenance and repair tasks by providing mechanical troubleshooting guidance and automotive diagnostics. Build strong customer relationships through attentive service, clear communication, and understanding client needs for automotive repair or upgrades. Maintain organized records of parts orders, stock levels, and inventory movements to optimize stock availability and reduce shortages or overstock situations. Support order fulfillment by accurately processing parts requests, managing backorders, and coordinating with suppliers or vendors as needed. Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when handling inquiries about parts availability or vehicle systems information. Uphold safety standards and organizational skills to ensure a clean, efficient workspace aligned with dealership policies. Experience Prior experience in automotive diagnostics, vehicle maintenance, or automotive repair is highly desirable. Proven track record in retail sales or dealership environments with knowledge of automotive parts and accessories. Familiarity with inventory management systems such as CMMS or similar platforms; experience with Microsoft Office suite is a plus. Strong negotiation skills combined with excellent communication abilities to effectively manage customer relationships and sales processes. Bilingual or multilingual capabilities are preferred to serve diverse customer bases effectively. Knowledge of automotive systems including mechanical troubleshooting, vehicle diagnostics, and auto parts sales enhances your success in this role. Experience with retail math, stock management, order fulfillment, and POS systems will support your ability to thrive in this fast-paced environment.
