Full Job Description Position Overview:

The Parts Counter person responsible for assisting customers and technicians in obtaining the correct parts and accessories efficiently and accurately. This role supports both the retail and service departments by maintaining excellent customer service, product knowledge and inventory management practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet and assist retail customers, service technicians and internal staff with parts inquiries and sales. Identify correct parts through VIN lookups, catalogs systems and parts diagrams. Provide accurate price quotes, availability and time estimates. Upsell additional accessories or related parts when appropriate. Handle phone calls, online orders and special requests promptly and professionally. Inventory and Operations Pull, stage and issue parts to technicians and customers accurately. Receive, inspect and stock incoming parts shipments. Maintain organized parts bins, displays and counter area. Participate in regular inventory counts and help control obsolescence. Process returns, warranties and core exchanges according to policy. Perform other duties as assigned by management to contribute to the overall success of the dealership.

Qualifications:

1-2 years of automotive parts or service experience preferred. Familiarity with automotive systems, parts catalogs and manufacturer procedures. Excellent communication, attention to detail and time management skills. Proficient in DMS software.
