Job Description
As a Parts Counter Associate, you are responsible for assisting guests primarily through the shop, on the phone, or online. You'll provide exceptional guest experience by pulling and filling orders, organizing inventory, keeping current on new products and product updates, and communicating with our internal team, external vendors, and guests in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner. This role is a great entry point to for a car enthusiast who thrives on finding solutions to problems and has some prior experience in the automotive industry and knowledge of parts sales.
What You'll Do:
Inform customers of companion part requirements and specials, ensuring the customer is exposed to the full product line Notify Parts Manager of out-of-stock parts or shop materials that need immediate attention Locate out-of-stock parts from outside sources and submit emergency order if necessary Notify Service Advisor when special order parts are received Follow-up on back-ordered parts On a weekly basis, verify will-call and back-order files as well as vendor returns, and stock items not picked up Assist outside sales representatives with their orders Ensure all internal requests for parts are billed on service repair order Maintain organized records of repair orders, invoices, insurance estimates and special-order parts Assist Parts Manager in maintaining a lost sales tracking program.What You'll Need:
Previous parts retail sales experience A valid driver's license and acceptable driving record Excellent follow-up skills, frequently communicating inventory and availability of parts A professional appearance and work ethic Excellent organizational skills Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environmentWhat We Offer:
