Power Systems West has sold and serviced small engines and generators throughout the Western United States since 1955 through five locations and a network of more than 500 dealers. Power Systems West locations include Portland, Oregon, Boise, Idaho, Seattle, Washington, Salt Lake City, Utah, and Denver Colorado. All locations offer 24/7 emergency service for power failures and unplanned outages. What is the job? Our Parts Representative supports customer part sales, internal service requests, repair jobs, warranty and warehousing activity. Additionally, our Service Parts Representative ensures inventory control, confirmation of stock ordering and follows all administrative procedures during the sales process of wholesale and service parts requests. Responsibilities Wholesale and service parts sales and activities Proactive responsiveness & follow up to customer service requests Managing staging activities for Parts & Sales inventory Inventory and track warranty parts returns and ensure proper handling requirements based on Kohler Warranty policy Participate in inventory control processes and perform cycle counts when assigned Perform receiving administrative duties for the parts department to ready for posting Work with the Inventory manager on system inventory maintenance, shipping and receiving functions, if needed Assist in performing yearly inventory assessment and reporting requirements Ensure parts warehouse stays clean and clear of debris Inventory stocking, facing, and organization Qualifications Minimum 2 years wholesale parts selling experience Experience with a customer first culture focused on responsiveness, accountability and results Order taking experience via phone, email, electronic processes Knowledge of internal combustion engines, electrical theory, electrical components in an engine-based package, and process of parts selling to service-based customers Parts department operational knowledge and understanding of financial and inventory management terminology such as mark-up, margin, cycle counting, inventory, non-inventory, special orders, purchase order policies, and inventory receiving Basic knowledge of shipping and receiving processes Customer service skills and phone etiquette related to parts selling, research and problem solving in a fast-paced service environment Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form Excellent Computer skills This role requires a mix of time at a desk and moving around the warehouse and parts storage area. The employee is occasionally exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, work in high, precarious places on ladders, outdoor weather conditions and vibration, and a generally moderate noise. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
