Company Overview Stoughton Trailers is a 2nd generation family-owned company headquartered in Stoughton, Wisconsin, and has been building semi-truck trailers for more than 60 years. Today, they're one of the top five trailer manufacturers in North America, producing dry vans, refrigerated trailers, grain trailers, and intermodal chassis. Job Purpose Provide exceptional customer service and operational support for aftermarket parts customers. Serve as the primary point of contact for inbound customer inquiries via phone and email, process orders accurately, maintain inventory awareness, and partner closely with the outside sales team to ensure a seamless customer experience. This role is focused primarily on customer support, order management, and parts coordination, with limited sales responsibilities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Serve as the first point of contact for customer inquiries through phone, email, and other communication channels. Process customer orders accurately and efficiently within company systems. Provide information regarding parts availability, pricing, lead times, and order status. Coordinate with inventory, operations, and shipping teams to ensure timely fulfillment of customer orders. Support customers in identifying replacement parts and resolving parts-related questions. Maintain strong knowledge of parts inventory, product offerings, and aftermarket solutions. Collaborate with the outside sales team to support customer relationships, quotations, and order fulfillment activities. Monitor open orders and proactively communicate updates, delays, or discrepancies to customers and internal stakeholders. Resolve customer concerns, order discrepancies, and shipping issues in a professional and timely manner. Generate quotes and assist with sales opportunities as needed, representing approximately 10% of the role. Maintain accurate customer and order records within company systems. Perform assigned responsibilities safely, accurately, and in accordance with company policies and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong customer service orientation and commitment to customer satisfaction. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience processing orders and managing customer accounts. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Basic knowledge of inventory management and parts-related operations preferred. Technical knowledge of trailer parts or related products preferred. Problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Outlook.
