This position plays a key role in developing competitive and profitable quotes while ensuring customer and supplier requirements are clearly understood and documented. The Quote Pricing Specialist works closely with Sales, Engineering, Suppliers, and Operations to gather information, resolve questions, track RFQs, and support the quoting process from initial request through completion. Key Responsibilities Customer RFQ & Quote Support Review drawings, specifications, part requirements, quantities, delivery requirements, and other customer documentation. Prepare the appropriate customer quote and supporting documentation/folder for the Sales Team to complete pricing. Assist Sales in developing accurate, competitive, and profitable customer quotations. Supplier Sourcing & Cost Analysis Source products and pricing from domestic and global suppliers based on customer requirements and follow up to obtain timely responses. Review supplier quotations for production costs, material prices, material Specs, shipping fees, etc. Analyze supplier costs to ensure pricing supports company margin and profitability objectives. Compare supplier options and identify opportunities for improved cost, lead time, quality, or availability. Sales & Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with Sales Representatives to clarify customer requirements, bid rules, target pricing, delivery expectations, and other quoting considerations. Collaborate with Engineering when drawings, specifications, materials, tolerances, or application requirements require technical review. Communicate with Operations regarding lead times, production requirements, inventory, and other factors affecting quotations. Communicate effectively with global suppliers to obtain accurate technical and commercial information. Provide timely updates to Sales regarding quote status, supplier responses, costs, and potential issues. Perform item and part set-up in P21 as required. RFQ Tracking & Performance Track outstanding supplier RFQs and proactively follow up to ensure quotes are received within required timelines. Maintain accurate records of RFQ activity and quote status. Monitor supplier responsiveness and performance. Support the development and tracking of RFQs and supplier KPIs. Identify recurring delays, pricing issues, or supplier challenges and communicate them to management. Qualifications & Skills Education & Experience Associate's degree in business, manufacturing, engineering, or a related field or equivalent relevant experience. 1-3 years of experience in pricing, quoting, technical sales support, purchasing, customer service, or a related manufacturing environment. Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and blueprints. Technical Skills Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Experience with ERP systems; Epicor Prophet 21 (P21) experience preferred. Ability to analyze costs and pricing information and identify discrepancies or opportunities. Ability to understand product specifications, materials, and manufacturing requirements.
