Pricing & Data Integrity Lead
Job Summary:
The Pricing & Data Integrity Lead is the guardian of the store's digital and physical accuracy. In this role, you ensure that the price a customer sees on the shelf is exactly what they pay at the register. You are responsible for managing the lifecycle of price changes, promotional tags, and the backend data that keeps our inventory systems and Point of Sale (POS) running smoothly. You are the "owner of the tag," ensuring Maryland weights and measures compliance and protecting the store's margins through meticulous attention to detail. Essential Functions 1. Price Management & Execution
    Tag Maintenance:
    weekly price changes, ensuring all outdated tags are removed, and new tags are placed accurately across all departments.
      Promotional Coordination:
      Manage the activation and deactivation of temporary price reductions (TPRs) and monthly "Sale" signage.
        Verification:
        Conduct weekly "Price Audits" by scanning random items on the floor to ensure the shelf price matches the POS system. 2. Data Integrity & Inventory Support
          Item Authorization:
          Ensure new items are correctly entered into the system with accurate descriptions, UPCs, and tax categories (e.g., Maryland sales tax vs. tax-exempt grocery and EBT Eligible).
            Margin Protection:
            Identify and report "cost-vs-retail" discrepancies to the Store Manager to ensure the store is not losing money due to uncaptured vendor price hikes.
              Scan File Maintenance:
              Work with vendors (like Pepsi, Frito-Lay, etc.) to ensure their specific item files are syncing correctly with our store's system. 3. Compliance & Standards
                Weights & Measures:
                Ensure all "Price per Ounce/Pound" labels are accurate and compliant with Maryland state regulations.
                  Signage Standards:
                  Ensure all signage is professional, clean, and placed according to store branding guidelines.
                    Error De-escalation:
                    Investigate and resolve recurring "item not found" or "wrong price" errors reported by the Front-End team. 4. Team Communication
                      Front End Briefing:
                      Alert the Cashier team to new promotions or significant price changes to ensure a smooth checkout experience.
                        Vendor Relations:
                        Coordinate with DSD (Direct Store Delivery) vendors to ensure their shelf tags and promotional signs meet store standards. Qualifications Competencies

                        • Analytical Skills Ability to spot patterns in data and troubleshoot why an item isn't scanning correctly.
                        • Reliability Punctuality is a must—our customers rely on us being open and ready. Education and experience Qualifications
                        Age Requirement:
                        Must be 18 or older (required for tobacco/lottery sales in this jurisdiction).
                          Physical Stamina:
                          Ability to stand for long periods and lift to 50 lbs. (crates of soda, milk, etc.).
                            Experience:
                            1-2 years of experience in retail pricing, scanning, or data entry. Familiarity with grocery POS systems is highly preferred.
                              Technical Proficiency:
                              Previous Experience/Comfortable learning handheld scanners, tag printers, and basic back-office inventory software. Career Path
