This position reports to:
Sales Support Manager __ The Pricing Specialist will serve as a key contributor to the implementation of ABB-EL pricing policies and the execution of daily operations. This role involves strategic price negotiations with both product management and the commercial sales team, with responsibility across the Smart Building (SB) and Smart Power (SP) product portfolios. Through disciplined pricing analysis and informed decision-making, the Pricing Specialist will directly influence profitability metrics and NPV outcomes. This position is open to remote candidates located with the United States. #LI-Remote Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate pricing requests across commercial, industrial, and residential market segments within the SB and SP flow business units. Develop financial models to assess pricing scenarios and optimize volume, product mix, margin, and pricing outcomes. Review and approve regional standard and special pricing agreements based on trade area data, market and channel impact assessment, product line strategy, price performance, and profitability metrics. Partner with commercial sales, business development, and product marketing leadership to assess agreement performance, develop strategies to capture business opportunities, and increase market share. Utilize available reporting in collaboration with cross-functional teams to monitor channel and end-customer performance metrics, including volume forecasts, say-do analysis, product mix commitments, and profitability tied to pricing agreements. Leverage business analytics tools to identify and execute opportunities for pricing performance optimization (special projects around cleanup and price optimization).Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college. A degree in BS/BE in Science, Engineering is a plus. Minimum 2 years of experience in the Electrical Industry and understanding of basic electrical products Minimum 2 years of experience in a commercial, analytics, accounting or finance related roles. Proficiency in MS Excel Strong analytical capabilities with demonstrated ability to break down complex business problems Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, meet strict deadlines, and maintain performance in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Candidates must already possess authorization to work for ABB in the US.Preferred Qualifications:
Comprehensive knowledge of residential electrical products and applications Experience with enterprise systems (SAP, Vistaar, Vistex) is a plus Demonstrated relationship-building, facilitation, and influencing capabilities Strong understanding of cost structures, profit margins, financial analysis, sales practices, sales enablement, channel management, and contract and risk management What's in it for you: We give you the space to lead, the support to grow, and the chance to make a difference.
