Job Description

Meyer Utilities Structures is searching for a Pricing Specialist. The Pricing Specialist plays an important role in maximizing revenue, maintaining competitiveness in the market, and supporting business growth. The Pricing Specialist will work with members of the Commercial organization such Sales Directors and Commercial Managers, Project Management, Estimating, Supply Chain, and Operations. Meyer Utility Structures is an industry leader in the engineering design and fabrication of concrete and tubular steel structures for transmission, distribution, and substation applications. What You'll Do Develop proposal pricing for all RFPs Understand customer account nuances and dynamics Develop pricing recommendations for all alliances and preferred vendors work based on contract requirements Update pricing based on industry indices Identify opportunities to increase margin based on tracking pricing based on industry indices, internal labor adjustments and market trends Update pricing based on customer changes as needed Work with Supply Chain to finalize freight estimates outside of established rates Analyze the closing data of the jobs compared to bids or original information and work with other area of the business on the opportunities What You'll Need Excellent attention to detail and ability to interpret complex data sets and trends Excellent Problem Solving Skills Knowledge of pricing strategies Ability to understand and create a pricing advantage Excellent communication skills - communicating pricing recommendations to Commercial Managers and Sales Directors, working with multiple departments including Sales, Finance, Manufacturing, Estimating, Project Management Experience with business intelligence software and data analysis tools Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills Excellent Organizational Skills Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related field, or equivalent experience Minimum 3 years prior relevant experience Working knowledge of utility structures industry preferred Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
