Valuation professionals at KPMG provide clients robust and informed guidance on valuation matters across multiple sectors, deal stages and business needs. We determine fair (market) value of equity shares, assets or complex financial instruments for mergers and acquisitions, financial reporting, tax and other regulatory standards. Our engagements include providing pre and post deal Purchase Price Allocations (PPA), Impairment Testing, employee or management incentive scheme valuations and recurring fund valuations. KPMG is currently seeking an Associate to join our Economic and Valuation Services practice.

Responsibilities:

Understand how transfer pricing and tax principles andregulations impact businesses and work with KPMG member firms around the worldto help our clients achieve their transfer pricing business goals

Research and analyze value chains and value drivers invarious industries to evaluate transfer pricing options

Research and analyze transfer pricing benchmarks

Help prepare various deliverables, including transferpricing reports, client presentations, and client communications

Collaborate with team members within KPMG US and memberfirms globally to help our clients achieve their business goals

Perform financial analyses and develop financial models tohelp assess the impact of different intercompany transactions and transferpricing policies using technologies such as Excel, artificial intelligence (AI),Alteryx, Power BI and KPMG proprietary tools

Stay abreast of the latest transfer pricing and taxdevelopments around the world

Qualifications:
  • Must be pursuing and have obtained by the start date or have completed the following degrees/majors in the past 12 months: Bachelors or Masters in Economics, Business, Finance, Mathematics, Statisticsm, Data Science or other quantitative field from an accredited college or university
  • Preferred GPA of 3.0 or above
  • Coursework or minor in information systems, software engineering, computer science or data and analytics preferred
  • Strong in technical, business acumen, critical thinking and agility skills. Demonstrated ability to excel and drive strategic outcomes, coupled with a professional demeanor and a collaborative leadership approach, in a dynamic, evolving environment

Demonstrated quality service mindset, strong technical aptitude, ability to learn and navigate technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), Alteryx and Power BI, MS Office Applications including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook and apply emerging technologies to enhance tax processes and insights

Excellent communication, time management and leadership skills, feedback oriented, and resourceful in delivering high quality work

Must reside within a reasonably commutable distance to the office for this position and be able to travel to reasonably commutable work locations using own means of transportation, such as a personal vehicle or public transportation

Ability to travel and/or work on-site at client premises as needed, at times with relatively short notice

California Salary Range:
