The Marketing Project and Event Specialist will provide unique experiences for a variety of stakeholders, including customers, sales teams, suppliers, partners and association groups. The Specialist will organize and execute stakeholder experiences, onsite and offsite meetings, community events, customer tours and programs as outlined by internal stakeholders. These experiences will align with brand guidelines, marketing programs, and leadership expectations. The Marketing Project and Event Specialist will deliver outstanding communications and provide excellent customer service to customers and stakeholders. Primary Responsibilities Manage meetings and events from early planning and development to final execution through communication, coordination, and follow-up. Manage and coordinate site selection, pre-coordination, travel coordination, registration and budget management for the event Coordinate and execute food & beverage menu, decor and entertainment based on agenda and event requirements Facilitate special room configurations, arranging any special needs such as AV equipment, etc. Attend onsite inspection meetings to ensure that Shaw standards are met by all outside vendors. Personally manage and troubleshoot onsite problems seamlessly and effectively with the least amount of disruption to the meeting/event and stakeholder Create assets that support events such as save the dates, invitations, agendas, place cards, menus, event programs, signage, hospitality room-drops and thank you letters for attendance Track attendance, registration, hotel history and attendee satisfaction for events. Seek feedback and effectively manage responses to event after the event has occurred through measuring responses and offering suggestions for improvements to the next event. Identify issues and provide new steps or actions to continuously improve the event process. Communicate directly and efficiently with stakeholders and customers regarding their meeting or event details in a timely manner. Develop relationships with promotional goods vendors and ensure brand standards are adhered to for all requests. Additional responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
4 year degree OR High School diploma +4 years relevant work experience (hospitality management, meetings/event management, customer experience) Maintain excellent relationships with external and internal customers. The ability to work under pressure, constant change and inflexible deadlines. The ability to work varied hours and a flexible schedule.
