Ben Ladage Auctions is an established auction company specializing in online and onsite auctions throughout Central Illinois. From antiques and collectibles to tools, equipment, household items, and everything in between, no two days are ever the same. Position Overview:

Ben Ladage Auctions is seeking a dependable, motivated, and detail-oriented individual to join our auction crew. This position plays an important role in preparing auction items for online sales and assisting customers during auction pickups. The ideal candidate enjoys staying active, working with a wide variety of items, and being part of a fast-paced team environment. This is not a desk job — every day brings something different. Typical workdays begin around 9:00 AM and most days conclude around 4:00 PM. One to two days per week may extend until approximately 6:00 PM for auction pickup days. Employees are provided with a work schedule in advance, though occasional flexibility may be needed based on auction schedules and workload.

Key Responsibilities:

Sort, organize, and prepare auction items for cataloging Create accurate item descriptions and measurements Photograph auction items for online listings Tag and organize auction lots for inventory control Assist with auction setup and organization Help customers during auction pickup days by locating and distributing purchased items Provide friendly and professional customer service Work alongside team members to ensure smooth auction operations Perform additional auction-related duties as needed

Qualifications:

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Positive attitude and willingness to learn Dependable, punctual, and self-motivated Good communication and customer service skills Ability to lift and move items as needed Basic computer and smartphone skills preferred Knowledge of antiques, tools, collectibles, household items, or equipment is helpful but not required Previous auction, retail, warehouse, or inventory experience is a plus, but not required
