Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Leasing Consultant to join our dynamic property management team. In this pivotal role, you will be the first point of contact for prospective residents, guiding them through the leasing process with enthusiasm and professionalism. Your expertise will help foster positive relationships, ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations, and contribute to the overall success of our property community. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your sales, customer service, and administrative skills within a vibrant real estate environment. Responsibilities Greet prospective residents warmly and provide comprehensive tours of available units, highlighting features and benefits to encourage leasing conversions. Manage the leasing process from initial inquiry through application approval, including data entry into property management systems- Appfolio. Conduct thorough background checks, verify income and rental history, and ensure all documentation complies with Fair Housing. Negotiate lease terms, prepare contracts, and explain lease agreements clearly to applicants while upselling additional services or amenities when appropriate. Maintain detailed records of all leasing activities, correspondence, and legal documentation in accordance with company policies. Collaborate with property maintenance teams to coordinate move-ins and address resident concerns promptly. Stay informed about local landlord-tenant laws, and other legal requirements affecting leasing practices. Skills Strong knowledge of property management software- Appfolio. Excellent customer service skills with a professional phone etiquette and conflict management abilities. Proven sales experience with the ability to upsell amenities and negotiate lease terms effectively. Legal administrative experience including contracts, filing systems, data entry, and document management. Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in an office environment while maintaining attention to detail.
