Job Description
Description We are looking for a leasing agent to support residential and commercial property operations in California. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who is detail oriented and can balance tenant-facing leasing activities with day-to-day property administration. The role focuses on maintaining occupancy, coordinating leasing documentation, and delivering responsive service to prospects and current tenants. Success in this position requires strong property management knowledge, attention to detail, and confidence using Yardi software.
Responsibilities:
- Guide prospective tenants through the leasing process, from initial inquiry and property tours to application follow-up and lease preparation.
- Manage administrative tasks tied to property operations, including maintaining accurate tenant files, updating records, and tracking lease activity.
- Support both residential and commercial portfolios by coordinating lease renewals, move-ins, move-outs, and occupancy updates.
- Respond to tenant questions and service-related concerns in a detail-oriented and timely manner while helping maintain positive resident and client relationships.
- Prepare leasing documents, verify application information, and help ensure files are complete and aligned with company policies and property requirements.
- Monitor unit and space availability, assist with marketing efforts, and communicate current pricing and vacancy information to prospective tenants.
- Use Yardi software to enter, maintain, and review leasing, tenant, and property data for accuracy and reporting purposes. Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in property management, leasing, or property administration.
- Hands-on experience supporting residential property management, commercial property management, or a combination of both.
- Working knowledge of leasing practices, tenant communication, and lease documentation processes.
- Proficiency with Yardi software for property or leasing administration.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain accurate records.
- Detail-oriented communication skills and a customer-focused approach when working with prospects, tenants, and internal stakeholders.
