California State Bar License Required Overview Desert Law Group is a well-established estate planning and trust administration firm serving families throughout the Coachella Valley for many years. Many of our clients are financially successful, but what truly brings them to our firm is the desire for clarity, confidence, and peace of mind. They want legal guidance delivered with professionalism, compassion, and exceptional client service. We are seeking an Associate Attorney with approximately 3-6 years of experience who enjoys helping people, communicating clearly with clients, and building trusted relationships while delivering high-quality legal work. This role is ideal for an attorney who values client interaction as much as technical competence and wants to be part of a collaborative and supportive team. Position Overview The attorney in this role will work closely with the firm's founder and team on matters including: Estate planning for individuals and families Revocable trusts and incapacity planning Trust administration Probate matters Most of our planning focuses on well-structured, practical estate planning rather than highly technical tax strategies. Our clients rely on us for thoughtful advice, reliability, and an excellent experience. Responsibilities Meet with clients to understand their goals and concerns Design and implement estate planning strategies tailored to each client's situation Review drafted estate planning documents (revocable trusts, wills, powers of attorney, advance directives) prepared by the legal team Handle trust administration matters from start to finish (A-Z), including advising trustees and guiding clients through the administration process Manage probate matters from petition through final distribution Maintain proactive communication with clients and team members to ensure an excellent client experience Qualifications 3-6 years of legal experience Experience in estate planning, trust administration, or probate preferred Strong drafting and analytical skills Comfortable meeting with clients and explaining legal concepts in plain English Organized and detail-oriented Collaborative, professional, and client-focused California Bar admission required LLM in Taxation or Certified Specialist is a plus but not required.
Compensation Base Salary:
$130,000
  • $165,000
Performance Bonus:
Additional bonuses based on production and collections.
Typical total compensation range:
$160,000
