Primary Responsibilities HDR Engineering, Inc. has an opportunity for a Senior Real Estate Services Agent based out of our Denver office. The candidate will perform land rights acquisition services for complex projects with limited supervision and will have the opportunity to work on transportation, power, and water projects as part of HDR's cross sector services. This position will involve working as a part of multidisciplined teams including engineering, surveying, environmental and strategic communications and will require working on several projects concurrently.Responsibilities include:
Provide support during project pre-negotiation due diligence Conduct complex negotiations for the acquisition of land rights and relocation of residential and business properties. Title and appraisal reviews Field meetings and visits to active construction sites Managing project schedules and budgets Implement applicable industry laws and regulations such as FHWA, FAA, FTA, FRA, FERC, NEPA, and the Uniform Act, as well as the client's policies and procedures In conjunction with others, perform activities to support Real Property projects, such as property assessments, risk analysis, acquisition of needed rights, occupant relocation, property management, construction coordination, and utility relocation/coordination Prioritize work and perform activities at a high level Work independently or closely with a team, confidently with clients, property owners, and occupants, and be flexible for travel, as required Communicate and document effectively Quality assurance/quality control Perform other duties as needed Preferred Qualifications Strong negotiation and communication skills Ability to productively collaborate with team members Ability to interpret land descriptions and survey and engineering drawings Basic understanding of real estate appraisal fundamentals Ability to effectively self-manage schedule and tasks Ability to adhere to QA/QC procedures Available for travel in Colorado (limited out of state may be required) Experience in Colorado Transportation and/or Power related experience Proficiency adhering to the Uniform Relocation Act Certification from the International Right of Way Association Permitting experience within Colorado #LI-MV3 Required Qualifications A minimum of 5 years of experience in real estate, right-of-way, title, utility coordination, relocation, or property management Ability to understand and work in compliance with the Uniform Act, federal and state laws, and regulations specific to the real estate and right-of-way industry Proficiency with standard technology tools such as MS Office Suite Strong communication skills, basic understanding of negotiation and presentation skills, and the ability to work flexible hours and effectively with people of all types What We Believe HDR is our company.
