Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and professional Leasing Professional to join our property management team. This role involves assisting in the leasing process for a Class -A apartment complex, ensuring a seamless experience for prospective tenants while maintaining compliance with relevant regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills, a thorough understanding of property leasing procedures, and familiarity with legal and administrative aspects of real estate management. This entry-level position offers an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic team committed to excellence in property leasing and tenant relations. This position also offers competitive monthly commissions.
Duties:
  • Greet prospects, professionally present the features and benefits of the assigned property, and properly secure lease agreements from qualified persons.
  • Follow up on prospective residents and market the community to telephone prospects. Convert phone calls to tours, property tours to leases and internet leads to tours and/or leases.
  • Shows/tours apartment homes to prospective residents while following the proper procedures and safety guidelines.
  • Ensure guest cards are complete, entered into the property management software and follow up is completed for prospects.
  • Timely and accurate processing of all required administrative forms, leases and related information.
  • Accurately prepare and be thoroughly knowledgeable with all lease-related paperwork, from the application process through move out. Including processing rental applications, preparing move in information, lease files, renewal letters and leases, as well as, any other residents and leasing related documents.
  • Regularly answering phones, taking messages, checking voicemails throughout the day, responding to email leads and inquiries, filing and entering work orders in property management software.
  • Provide quality customer service and timely response to customer requests and complaints.
  • Maintains and assists with keeping the office, amenity areas, model apartments and community clean and professional appearance.
  • Develop and maintain first class customer service relationships with prospects and residents.
  • Physically inspects the community when on grounds, picks up litter and report any maintenance needs to the Service Team.
  • Maintain relationships with all apartment locater services and local businesses to provide informational material. Update periodically.
  • Assist with shopping competitive properties.
  • Maintain thorough product knowledge of the property, sister properties, corporate housing partner and competitors.
  • Assist Leasing Manager and/or Community Director in developing and implementing effective marketing goals to increase traffic and leads.
  • Maintain on-going resident retention program under direction of the Community Manager.
  • Assists with resident functions and as directed by the Leasing Manager and/or
Community Director Competencies:
  • Must have the ability to close on sales
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suites (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Must have exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Must have the ability to develop, maintain, and foster relationships at every level among the organization and with external customers
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to take direction, handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced working environment
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School diploma, or general equivalent degree (GED)
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree or 1-2 years' experience preferred
  • Minimum 6-months experience in a customer service/sales position
  • Experience in residential property management a plus
  • Excellent presentation/sales skills
  • Have thorough knowledge of Fair Housing laws
  • Knowledge of Yardi a plus.

$25.00 - $27.00 per hour
