Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Apartment Leasing Agent to join our vibrant property management team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for prospective residents, guiding them through the leasing process with enthusiasm and professionalism. Your expertise in property leasing, customer service, and legal administrative procedures will ensure a seamless experience for clients while maximizing occupancy and revenue. Responsibilities Greet prospective tenants warmly and conduct property tours to showcase available units and amenities. Manage lease or rental agreement processes from application to signing, ensuring compliance with fair housing regulations and legal standards such as Landlord-tenant law. Utilize property management tools like Yardi, OneSite, and other CRM systems to maintain accurate data entry, filing, and client records. Handle tenant inquiries via phone, email, or in person with excellent office etiquette and conflict management skills. Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure property upkeep aligns with leasing schedules and tenant needs. Assist with Section 8 and LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) programs to support affordable housing initiatives. Support property marketing efforts through upselling available units and fostering positive client relationships to boost occupancy rates. Collaborate with team members on budgeting, lease negotiations, contract management, and facilities management tasks. Maintain compliance with Fair Housing regulations while promoting a welcoming environment for all applicants. Qualifications Proven experience in property leasing or real estate administrative roles within property management companies or similar environments. Strong knowledge of landlord-tenant law, Fair Housing regulations, Section 8 housing programs, LIHTC, and legal administrative procedures. Proficiency in property management software such as Yardi, OneSite, or comparable tools; experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) is a plus. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively via phone and written correspondence. Demonstrated negotiation skills and the ability to upsell rental units confidently while maintaining integrity. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for data entry, reporting, and correspondence. Ability to manage conflict professionally while providing exceptional client relationship management. Office experience that includes filing, data entry, contracts management, and facilities oversight is preferred. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in lease management, legal documentation, and record keeping.
