Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and experienced Leasing Consultant to join our dynamic property management team. In this role, you will be the key point of contact for prospective and current residents, guiding them through the leasing process with enthusiasm and professionalism. Your expertise in property leasing, legal administrative procedures, and customer service will ensure a seamless experience for all clients. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your skills in property management tools, negotiation, and client communication while contributing to the vibrant community environment. Duties Greet prospective tenants promptly and professionally, providing detailed information about available properties and community amenities. Manage lease or rental agreement processes, including application screening, lease signing, and move-in coordination. Utilize property management software such as Yardi and OneSite to maintain accurate tenant records, data entry, and filing systems. Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations, Landlord-Tenant Law, LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit), and Section 8 housing programs. Handle client communication effectively via phone, email, and in-person interactions, resolving inquiries and conflicts with tact and diplomacy. Conduct property tours, upselling available units or amenities to maximize occupancy rates while maintaining excellent customer service standards. Assist with property maintenance coordination, facilities management, and documenting work orders using CMMS or other property management tools. Support team management efforts by collaborating with colleagues on leasing strategies, budgeting tasks, and conflict resolution. Skills Proven experience in property leasing or real estate administrative roles with a strong understanding of lease or rental agreement management. Proficiency in property management software such as Yardi, OneSite, and client relationship management tools. Knowledge of landlord-tenant law, Fair Housing regulations, LIHTC compliance, Section 8 programs, and legal administrative procedures. Excellent customer service skills with strong phone etiquette and conflict management abilities. Ability to negotiate lease terms effectively while upselling community features or additional services. Familiarity with property maintenance coordination, facilities management practices, and data entry accuracy. Strong organizational skills for filing, record keeping, budgeting support, and administrative tasks within an office environment. $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
