Responsibilities:
1. Manage and oversee all aspects of our clients' trust and estate planning, including the drafting of wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and health care directives. 2. Provide comprehensive legal counsel on matters related to trust administration, probate, estate tax, and other related issues. 3. Collaborate with clients to develop strategies that will effectively meet their estate planning goals while minimizing potential legal risks. 4. Conduct thorough legal research and stay updated on the latest developments in trust and estate law. 5. Represent clients in probate court proceedings and handle trust and estate litigation matters. 6. Liaise with other attorneys, tax professionals, and financial advisors to ensure all aspects of the client's estate plan are well-coordinated. 7. Participate in business development activities to expand the firm's trusts and estates practice.
Qualifications:
1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. 2. Admitted to practice law in Connecticut and/or New York. 3. Minimum of 4 years of experience as a trust and estates associate attorney. 4. Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to develop strong client relationships. 5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex legal concepts to clients. 6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail. 7. Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases with varying degrees of complexity. 8. Demonstrated commitment to ethical standards and high level of integrity.
