Job Description
Urgently Hiring Downtown Pensacola Law firm/Title Agent is looking for a Real Estate Closing Assistant to fill an opening at a law firm/title agent. The closing assistant candidate should have, or have the ability to be trained in, the following real estate/title insurance closing assistant skills: Assist in:
- Finalize real estate escrow transactions by determining requirements; clearing titles; assembling, preparing and reviewing closing documents; disbursing funds.
- Prepare a CD.
- Assist the Closer with all related duties.
- Determine escrow requirements by studying and clarifying buyer, seller and lender instructions.
- Obtain clear title by ordering title reports; resolving title defects; satisfying existing liens and encumbrances against property or principals.
- Establish escrow account by depositing funds; maintaining records.
- Prepare transaction documents by completing forms and statements; collecting and reviewing existing documents.
- Complete calculations including prorating taxes and interest.
- Complete closing transaction documents by assembling documents; reviewing papers with parties; explaining provisions and procedures; answering questions; checking documents for completeness and accuracy; obtaining signatures.
- Complete closing by recording and filing documents; preparing and distributing final closing statements and title.
- Prepare Settlement Statement (ALTA); close escrow account by balancing and disbursing funds. Salary and Benefits of the Assistant Closer position:
- Salary Commensurate with ability and experience plus bonus pay.

- 401K Responsibilities of the Assistant Closer position:
- Customer service-oriented and professional. Proven tenure preferred.
- Industry experience performing escrow and title duties and familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the escrow/title industry field is preferred.
- Experience using the MS Office Suite and industry software.
- Demonstrated mastery of multi-taking effectively, particularly in fast-paced and high volume situations.
- Notary or ability to obtain within 90 days.
- Effectively Communicate with all parties using written and oral communication skills.
- Commitment to and effectiveness in the delivery of superior customer service.
