Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Apartment Leasing Agent to join our vibrant property management team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for prospective residents, guiding them through the leasing process with enthusiasm and professionalism. Your expertise in property leasing, customer service, and legal administrative procedures will ensure a seamless experience for clients while maximizing occupancy rates. This position offers an exciting opportunity to leverage your skills in property management tools, negotiation, and client communication to make a positive impact on our community. Responsibilities Greet prospective tenants warmly and provide comprehensive tours of available apartments, highlighting key features and amenities. Manage lease or rental agreement processes accurately using property management software such as Yardi or OneSite. Conduct thorough background checks, including credit reports and rental history, ensuring compliance with Fair Housing regulations and Section 8 guidelines. Facilitate lease signing procedures, explaining contractual terms clearly and answering any tenant questions with confidence. Maintain detailed records of client interactions, applications, and lease agreements through data entry and filing systems. Collaborate with property maintenance teams to coordinate move-ins, move-outs, and ongoing tenant requests. Upsell additional services or amenities to prospective tenants to enhance occupancy and revenue streams while ensuring excellent customer service. Requirements Proven experience in property leasing, real estate administration, or property management within a property management company environment. Strong knowledge of landlord-tenant law, Fair Housing regulations, LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit), and Section 8 housing programs. Proficiency with property management tools such as Yardi, OneSite, CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System), and customer relationship management software. Excellent negotiation skills coupled with conflict management abilities to resolve issues effectively while maintaining positive client relationships. Demonstrated experience in legal administrative tasks related to lease agreements, contracts, and compliance documentation. Exceptional communication skills with professional phone etiquette and the ability to handle client inquiries efficiently. Office experience including data entry, filing, budgeting support, and facilities management is highly desirable. Pay:
$18.00 - $19.00 per hour
