Job Description

Associate Attorney:
Real Estate, Corporate and Probate Weiner, Shearouse, Weitz, Greenberg & Shawe, LLP Richmond Hill, Georgia Full-time | On-site | Compensation commensurate with skill and experience About the Firm Weiner, Shearouse, Weitz, Greenberg & Shawe, LLP is an established Savannah law firm with offices in Savannah, Richmond Hill, Pooler and South Carolina. We represent individuals, families, businesses, lenders, developers and trade associations in real estate, corporate and probate matters. We are seeking an associate attorney for our Richmond Hill office who will grow with the Firm and take on meaningful client responsibility early.
Responsibilities Real Estate:
conduct and supervise residential and commercial closings, including title examination review and curative work, and draft and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, leases, easements and loan documents.
Corporate:
form and advise business entities, draft operating agreements, shareholder agreements and other governing documents, and assist with business acquisitions and sales.
Probate:
handle estate administration and probate proceedings, and prepare wills, trusts, powers of attorney and related estate planning documents. Work directly with clients, lenders, brokers, courts and opposing counsel. Qualifications J.D. and active membership in good standing with the State Bar of Georgia (South Carolina admission a plus) 2 to 5 years of experience in real estate, corporate or probate practice Strong drafting and negotiation skills with close attention to detail Ability to manage a high volume of matters independently Interest in developing a client base in the Richmond Hill and Bryan County community Benefits Comprehensive health insurance, with the Firm paying a substantial portion of the employee premium; coverage available for spouses and dependents Dental and vision insurance available for employees, spouses and dependents 401(k) plan with Firm matching contributions and annual profit-sharing contributions Short-term and long-term disability insurance at no cost to the employee Firm-paid life insurance Paid vacation, sick/personal time and birthday leave Paid holidays and bereavement leave To Apply Please submit your resume, a cover letter and a writing sample through Indeed.
