Park View Apartments located in Chicago, Illinois managed by B & A Property Group and based here in the Lincoln Park area; is looking for an individual who is interested in advancing their career in property management. This individual must have excellent organizational and people skills as well as a working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel to join our leasing team.
SUMMARY:
Leasing Consultants are tasked with effectively marketing the property and maintaining high occupancy of qualified residents. They are the first impression of the property and must present a high level of professionalism.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Must have excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Must have proven customer service and/or sales experience (leasing preferred but not required). Must be very organized, professional, friendly, enthusiastic and self-motivated. Knowledge of basic math, and general office technology skills preferred. Must be able to work in a fast paced working environment. Must be able to work with little or no supervision. Must be able to work weekends.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
Provide excellent service to residents, prospects, vendors, visitors, and other customers. Conduct building tours for prospective residents and input traffic into software daily. Lease apartments in accordance with policies and procedures set forth by management. Accurately enter new lease information into computer system. Prepare, maintain, and manage new and existing lease files. Assist in move-in / move-out process. Receive and enter resident service requests. Assist with resident programs and retention strategies. Assist property manager and co-workers in the management and operations of the property. Maintain confidentiality in all job responsibilities as it pertains to staff and tenants. Follow policies and procedures while complying with Fair Housing, state and federal laws.
