Job Summary NOTE:
We are very flexible in negotiating salary based on work experience and familiarity with real estate law matters. Marneris Law, P.C. is hiring! We are a well-established, thriving real estate law firm seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Real Estate Paralegal / Legal Assistant with excellent communication skills to join our team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive support to facilitate successful closings for our clients, while collaborating with a vast array of real estate professionals, including attorneys, lenders, brokers, property managers, and title officers, among many others. We are looking for someone with exceptional organizational skills, problem-solving abilities, and an interest in working in a fast-paced environment. A positive attitude and genuine interest in helping people in their property buying and/or selling journey is a must. Duties Assist with drafting, reviewing, and managing legal documents related to real estate transactions. Interact heavily with clients and colleagues. Manage matters using Smokeball, our practice management software. Maintain calendars to ensure the meeting of contingency deadlines and schedule closings. Review and analyze title commitments/searches. Coordinate title clearance efforts, including obtaining mortgage and lien payoffs, compliance with Home Owner Associations (HOAs) as well as municipal offices to allow for transfers to take place. Contribute in weekly staff meetings to discuss current matters and improvement of our processes. Conduct signing appointments with clients in furtherance of closing efforts. Experience Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Experience in a law office setting supporting real estate transactions is highly preferred. Familiarity with estate planning is advantageous. Proficiency in Smokeball is a big plus.
