Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Paralegal or Legal Assistant to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a solid understanding of legal procedures, particularly in real estate law. This role is vital in supporting our attorneys with various administrative and legal tasks, ensuring the smooth operation of our practice. Responsibilities Assist attorneys in preparing legal documents and filings related to real estate and corporate law. Review and manage documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal standards. Maintain organized transaction files through effective document management systems. Provide executive administrative support, including scheduling meetings and closings and managing calendars. Coordinate communication between clients, attorneys, and other parties to the transactions. Prepare closing documents and assist in the preparation of closings. Ensure all deadlines are met by tracking important dates and contract deadlines. Experience Proven experience as a Paralegal or in a similar role within a legal environment is preferred. Familiarity with Smokeball or other document management systems is highly desirable. Strong administrative skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of Illinois Real Estate law is required; willingness to learn is essential. Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail and accuracy.
