This role is a full time position with commission bonuses for apartments filled. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for prospective residents, guiding them through the leasing process with enthusiasm and professionalism. Your primary focus will be to showcase available apartments, manage leasing agreements, and foster positive relationships with clients. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a vibrant community while honing your skills in property management, customer service, and sales. The ideal candidate will bring energy, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering exceptional service. Responsibilities Greet prospective tenants warmly and provide comprehensive tours of available apartment units Explain lease terms, rental policies, and community amenities clearly and confidently Manage lease or rental agreement documentation accurately using property management tools such as Yardi or OneSite Process applications, background checks, Section 8 vouchers, and other leasing paperwork efficiently Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Fair Housing regulations, Landlord-Tenant Law, and LIHTC compliance to ensure legal adherence Handle client communication via phone, email, and in person with professionalism and courtesy Assist with conflict management by addressing tenant concerns promptly and effectively Support property management operations including data entry, filing, and maintaining accurate records of leasing activities Collaborate with team members on property marketing strategies and upselling opportunities to maximize occupancy rates Coordinate with maintenance teams for property upkeep and address tenant requests related to property maintenance Requirements Proven experience in property leasing, real estate administration, or related customer service roles; property management company experience is preferred Familiarity with property management software such as AppFolio, or similar tools Strong knowledge of landlord-tenant law, Fair Housing regulations, and Section 8 housing programs Excellent communication skills with professional phone etiquette and client relationship management abilities Ability to negotiate lease terms effectively while ensuring compliance with legal standards Experience in conflict management and handling sensitive situations with tact and diplomacy Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently within a fast-paced environment Knowledge of property maintenance processes and facilities management is beneficial Join us as an Apartment Leasing Agent to make a meaningful impact on our residents' lives while advancing your career in property management.
