Job Description

We're currently seeking a compliance-minded Assistant Property Manager to support operations across two sister affordable housing communities on Cape Cod, based in Barnstable with additional coverage in South Yarmouth. This role is ideal for someone who already knows LIHTC compliance and can step in with minimal ramp-up. You'll work directly under an experienced Senior Property Manager who oversees both sites and needs a strong second to take real ownership of recertifications, income verifications, and audit-ready files. There's also clear runway for growth into a Property Manager title for the right candidate. If you'd like to be considered, please submit a resume for review. Responsibilities Own LIHTC compliance workflows including annual recertifications, income verification, and maintaining audit-ready resident files Support day-to-day resident and office operations at an affordable portfolio of roughly 150+ units across two nearby communities Coordinate with the Senior Property Manager to track deadlines, organize waitlists, and keep compliance calendars on schedule Assist with leasing, move-ins, and resident communication, including explaining rent changes tied to recertifications Use property management software (Yardi preferred) to maintain accurate resident, leasing, and compliance records Qualifications Hands-on LIHTC (tax credit) compliance experience, including recertifications and file preparation for reviews or audits Experience in an affordable housing office role such as Assistant Property Manager, Occupancy Specialist, Compliance Specialist, or affordable-focused Leasing Ability to work independently and take ownership without extensive job training Section 8 experience (project-based or voucher) strongly preferred TCS, COS, or similar affordable housing certification preferred Perks Total compensation range of up to $58,000 to $62,000 Full benefits package including all major insurance, 401k, and PTO Strong time-off offering in year one (including company holidays and additional paid time off) Opportunity to grow into a Property Manager title while working under an experienced Senior Property Manager Work for a nationwide company that can offer growth and stability
Pay:
$28.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
