has been managing multifamily properties since 2007 and oversees 1,000+ residential units throughout West Michigan. What You'll Do As a Leasing Consultant, you're the face of the community. You'll welcome prospects, tour apartments, answer questions, and guide people through the leasing process—while also supporting resident satisfaction and retention. Key Responsibilities Be the first point of contact for prospects and residents (phone, email, and in-person) Conduct tours, build rapport, and confidently "close" the lease Process applications, verify information, and collect deposits/rent Track leasing activity and performance metrics (traffic, showings, closing ratios, renewals, etc.) Maintain online listings and postings (including Apartments.com) Support marketing efforts and assist with market surveys as directed Prepare leases, move-in packets, and maintain resident files Support resident events, renewals, and retention initiatives Create and follow up on work orders and resident concerns Assist with general office operations (supplies, filing, light cleaning, etc.) Report to the Property Manager and follow all community policies and Fair Housing laws What We're Looking For High school diploma or GED required Excellent customer service and communication skills Organized, dependable, and comfortable juggling multiple priorities Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Leasing experience preferred—but we will train the right person Yardi experience is a plus Familiarity with Fair Housing and Landlord/Tenant law is preferred No violent felonies Compensation & Benefits Hourly pay based on experience and qualifications Leasing commission available Benefits eligibility after 90 days
