Job Overview Ready to have an
EXPERIENCED
Leasing Associate with Tax Credit experience to join our property management team. In this role, you will be responsible for two of properties within our portfolio working along side our Property Coordinators to support them . This position offers an exciting opportunity to combine customer service excellence with specialized knowledge of affordable housing programs, all while supporting the efficient operation of our property portfolio.
Some Duties May Include:
Manage the leasing process from initial inquiry to lease signing, ensuring a smooth and engaging experience for prospective residents Verify applicant eligibility for LIHTC, Section 8, and other affordable housing programs by reviewing financial documents and supporting materials Maintain accurate data entry within property management systems such as Yardi and OneSite, including resident records, lease agreements, and compliance documentation Assist with property showings, answering questions about amenities, lease terms, and community policies Collaborate with property coordinators/management teams on occupancy goals, upselling available units or services to prospective residents Handle conflict management situations professionally, resolving resident concerns promptly while maintaining positive relationships Support facilities management activities related to property maintenance coordination and tenant requests Prepare filing systems for legal documents, lease agreements, and compliance records; manage document retention according to regulatory standards Requirements Proven experience in property leasing, real estate administration or related fields with a focus on affordable housing programs such as LIHTC or Section 8 Strong knowledge of landlord-tenant law, Fair Housing regulations, and Section 8 program requirements Proficiency in property management software including Yardi or Entrata is a plus Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively via phone etiquette and in person Experience in legal administrative tasks such as contracts, lease negotiations, and document filing Demonstrated conflict management skills with a professional approach to problem-solving Office experience that includes data entry, filing, and administrative support functions Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Strong negotiation skills for upselling units or additional services to prospects or residents Knowledge of facilities management principles related to property maintenance coordination
