We are seeking an energetic, take charge Property Manager/Leasing Agent for our diverse portfolio of off-site residential and student properties in the Greater Kalamazoo area. The position will be instrumental in our day-to-day operations.. Must have experience in real estate or property management.

Duties and responsibilities include:

Conduct tours off available off-site rental properties Process rental applications, prepare & execute leasing documents Ensure listings and renewals are at market rates Market vacant properties and oversee the make-ready process Process security deposit charges / refunds according to state laws Responsible for the accuracy of all data systems including company database; input and output for financial and operational functions Main point of contact for residents and property owners Diplomatically communicate our leasing policies & procedures Investigate and resolve resident complaints and enforce rules of occupancy Post rent payments and take legal action as necessary for evictions and collections Maintain resident and property files accurately Assist with hiring, training and guiding leasing staff Provide reports and complete other projects as requested by management

Requirements:

Prior Leasing and/or Property Management Experience required Active State of Michigan Real-Estate License or the willingness to obtain one after hire Must have a valid driver's license, insurance and reliable transportation Must be willing to travel to properties in the Greater Kalamazoo area (mileage reimbursed) Willing to work evenings and weekend hours as necessary Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills Must be organized with strong attention to detail, able to multi-task and meet strict deadlines Must be highly proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Social Media and property management software Must pass background and reference checks Live within Kalamazoo County To apply, please email your cover letter, resume and references.
