Position OverviewWe are seeking a Real Estate Associate to support transactional and development activities across commercial and residential portfolios. The successful candidate will play a central role in acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and development projects by drafting and negotiating agreements, performing due diligence, coordinating closings, and advising internal teams and clients on legal and business issues. This position is ideal for an attorney or experienced real estate professional who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and contributing to both legal and commercial objectives.

Key ResponsibilitiesDraft, review, and negotiate real estate contracts and documents, including purchase and sale agreements, leases, letters of intent, loan documents, and closing statements.

Manage due diligence processes for acquisitions and dispositions, coordinating title, survey, environmental, and other vendor investigations.

Support commercial and residential leasing matters, including lease negotiation, amendment drafting, estoppel certificates, and tenant/landlord communications.

Coordinate and attend closings, working with title companies, lenders, brokers, and clients to ensure timely and accurate documentation.

Assist with development matters and land use issues by reviewing entitlements, permits, and development agreements and liaising with municipal authorities and consultants.

Conduct legal and market research and prepare memos, risk analyses, and closing deliverables to support transaction teams and client decision-making.

Collaborate with attorneys, brokers, asset managers, and internal stakeholders to advance transaction timelines and resolve issues efficiently.

Maintain transaction records and checklists in transaction management systems and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Provide mentorship and supervision to junior staff and paralegals as needed, and contribute to process improvements and template development.

QualificationsJuris Doctor (JD) with bar admission preferred, or equivalent real estate transactional experience in a law firm or in-house setting.3+ years of experience handling real estate transactions, with exposure to commercial and residential acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and development.

Demonstrated experience with acquisitions, leasing negotiations, and closing processes; familiarity with land use, zoning, and title matters.

Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills, with careful attention to detail and risk management.

Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to build productive relationships with clients and internal teams.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and transaction management platforms; comfort learning industry-specific tools.

Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously, meet deadlines, and work both independently and collaboratively.

Prior experience as a real estate associate or attorney, or demonstrated commercial real estate expertise, is highly desirable.
