$30.00 per hour + Commission Structure | Full-Time | In-Person About the Community Highgate at Livingston is a 169-apartment luxury residential community located in Livingston, New Jersey. We are seeking a motivated, polished, and results-driven Leasing Agent who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes ownership of driving occupancy. This is a high-visibility role within a premium asset that rewards performance. Position Overview As Leasing Agent, you will serve as the first point of contact for prospective residents. You will guide applicants through the leasing process from initial inquiry through lease execution and move-in coordination, maintain strict compliance with Fair Housing regulations, and directly impact revenue performance through leasing success. Key Responsibilities
  • Professionally greet prospects and residents in person, by phone, and via email
  • Conduct engaging and informative apartment tours that effectively showcase value and close leases
  • Respond promptly to phone and email inquiries, capture lead information accurately on guest cards, and execute persistent follow-up
  • Manage the full leasing cycle: lead management, follow-up, application processing, screening coordination, lease preparation, and seamless move-in coordination
  • Accurately enter and maintain prospect and resident data using property management platforms such as Yardi/Rent Café, CRM, MRI, or OnSite
  • Ensure all leasing activities comply with federal, state, and local Fair Housing laws
  • Assist with marketing initiatives and outreach efforts to maintain strong occupancy levels
  • Coordinate with maintenance to confirm apartments are fully move-in ready
  • Maintain organized, audit-ready documentation and leasing files
  • Contribute to a collaborative team environment while maintaining a professional appearance and high service standards Qualifications
  • Prior experience in leasing, hospitality, sales, or high-level customer service preferred
  • Strong sales aptitude with the ability to confidently present value and close leases
  • Proven follow-up discipline and lead management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Professional demeanor and polished presentation
  • Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment
  • Working knowledge of Yardi, Rent Café, MRI, OnSite, or similar software preferred
