Job Description
Permit & Licensing Coordinator Premier Gold Silver and Coin LLC Ottawa, OH Full-Time In-Office $22-25/hr About Us Premier Gold, Silver, and Coin LLC runs approximately 20 roadshow events every week across multiple states, purchasing gold, silver, coins, and collectibles directly from the public. We pay on the spot — same day, by business check, before the seller leaves the room. It's a fast-moving operation built on trust, precision, and the ability to legally and smoothly set up shop in dozens of cities at once. We're hiring a Permit & Licensing Coordinator to be the engine behind the scenes that keeps every event compliant, on schedule, and ready to go. What You'll Do This is a detail-driven role at the intersection of compliance and logistics. Each week, you'll be responsible for ensuring our events have every legal box checked and every operational piece in place across multiple jurisdictions.
Your core responsibilities will include:
Reading and interpreting state, county, and municipal codes, ordinances, and legal documents to determine licensing and permit requirements for each event location Applying for and securing business licenses, transient merchant permits, precious metals dealer permits, and any other required authorizations — often across several jurisdictions per week Tracking deadlines for applications, renewals, and event-specific filings, ensuring nothing slips through the cracks Scheduling and booking hotel conference rooms in target cities, coordinating dates and logistics with venues Booking travel and accommodations for our event teams Maintaining detailed records of permits, licenses, correspondence, fees paid, and compliance documentation for every event and jurisdiction Communicating with city clerks, county offices, and state agencies to clarify requirements, follow up on applications, and resolve issues quickly Anticipating problems before they happen — flagging upcoming renewals, jurisdictional changes, or new requirements that could affect operations What We're Looking For 3-5 years of experience in a role that required reading and applying legal or regulatory documents (permitting, licensing, paralegal work, compliance, real estate, contracting, or similar) Demonstrated ability to interpret municipal/county/state codes and translate them into action Direct experience applying for business licenses or permits, bonus points if it was across multiple jurisdictions Exceptional attention to detail; you catch the things other people miss Strong organizational skills and the ability to juggle 20+ active workstreams without losing track Comfortable communicating with government offices by phone, email, and in writing Proficient with spreadsheets, email, and standard office software; quick to pick up new tools Self-directed - you can own a workflow and run it without being micromanaged Reliable, professional, and trustworthy Nice to Have Experience in precious metals, antiques, auction, or traveling event industry Familiarity with transient merchant or itinerant vendor licensing Experience booking corporate travel or event venues Why Join Us Stable, established company with a busy, predictable event schedule A role with real ownership — you'll be the go-to person for everything that keeps our events legal Fully in-office position in Ottawa, OH, with a tight-knit team You will have a direct impact on our success How to Apply Submit your resume through Indeed.
