Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Paralegal/Legal Assistant specializing in Estate Planning and Probate to join our dynamic legal team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive support in managing estate and probate cases, ensuring smooth legal processes from client intake through case resolution. Your expertise will help facilitate efficient document preparation, legal research, and client communication, contributing to the delivery of exceptional legal services. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with attorneys and clients in a fast-paced environment dedicated to estate and probate law and related legal areas. Duties Assist attorneys with estate planning documents such as wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable laws. Manage probate case files from initiation through completion, including filing petitions, notices, and court documents. Conduct legal research Draft and review legal documents, correspondence, and pleadings with precision and attention to detail. Organize and maintain case management systems Interview clients to gather necessary information for estate planning or probate proceedings while maintaining confidentiality. Coordinate with courts, financial institutions, government agencies, and other stakeholders to facilitate case progress. Provide administrative support such as scheduling appointments, managing deadlines, and handling confidential information with professionalism. Assist in document review processes for accuracy and completeness; proofread all legal materials before submission. Maintain organized files both electronically and physically; ensure timely filing of all case-related documents. Requirements Paralegal or legal assistant experience with a focus on estate planning or probate preferred. Proficiency in legal research tools Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while meeting deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication skills; adept at client interaction with professional phone etiquette. Ability to handle confidential information discreetly; proven proofreading skills for accuracy in legal drafting. Demonstrated project management skills with attention to detail in document review and filing procedures. Pay:
$23.00 - $28.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
