We focus on the disputes that come with owning, investing in, and operating real estate. Our firm is led by an attorney with 30 years in practice who is also a real estate investor herself, which means our attorneys aren't just litigating real estate and business disputes in the abstract — they understand the deals, the deadlines, and the stakes from the client's side of the table.
YOU WILL DEVELOP REAL EXPERTISE.
This is a fully virtual position. The firm is entirely virtual. The position offers substantive case responsibility without requiring you to relocate or adopt a traditional large-firm schedule. You do, however, need to live in Wisconsin. There are some court appearances still required.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Manage and litigate real estate and business disputes from initial evaluation through settlement or judgment. Draft complaints, answers, discovery, motions, settlement agreements, and other litigation documents. Analyze title, ownership rights, lien priority, contract, and accounting issues. Develop litigation strategy and make recommendations regarding case direction. Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, lenders, title companies, brokers, experts, and other professionals. Conduct and defend depositions. Prepare for and appear at hearings, scheduling conferences, settlement conferences, and occasional trials. Evaluate settlement opportunities and advise clients regarding risks, costs, and likely outcomes. Maintain accurate deadlines, case records, and strategic case plans.
QUALIFICATIONS
Active membership in the Wisconsin State Bar, or eligibility for admission. Minimum Two years civil litigation experience. Strong legal research and writing skills. Excellent judgment, organization, and attention to detail. Ability to manage deadlines and multiple active matters. Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients and opposing counsel . Willingness to accept responsibility for case outcomes Ability to work effectively in a fully virtual environment.
COMPENSATION
Anticipated base salary of $85,000 to $125,000 per year depending on experience, qualifications, and demonstrated ability. Quarterly performance bonuses Benefits.
