Originate residential mortgage loans (purchase and refinance) Consult with clients to recommend appropriate loan products and pricing Collect, analyze, and review borrower documentation Work closely with processors and operations staff to ensure smooth and timely closings Build and expand referral relationships with real estate agents and strategic partners Maintain compliance with all federal and California lending regulations Requirements Active California Real Estate License (Salesperson or Broker) Active NMLS Mortgage Loan Originator endorsement under the CA DRE, or ability to transfer sponsorship promptly upon onboarding Prior mortgage origination experience preferred (Newly licensed or early-stage MLOs with strong communication skills, professionalism, and commitment to learning are encouraged to apply) Strong sales, communication, and relationship-building skills Self-motivated with the ability to manage your own pipeline High ethical standards and a compliance-focused mindset Compensation & Structure Commission-only, 1099 independent contractor role Competitive commission splits (higher splits available based on production) No base salary or employee benefits Earnings based on individual production Compensation structure and splits discussed transparently during interview.
