The ideal candidate has access to a network of landowners, Real Estate brokers, engineers, attorneys, municipalities, and developers. This position is responsible for building a robust acquisition pipeline to support the company's long-term growth objectives and managing the land acquisition process from initial sourcing through closing. Key Responsibilities
- Identify and secure residential land opportunities throughout Middle Tennessee.
- Build and maintain relationships with landowners, brokers, municipalities, engineers, attorneys, and other industry professionals.
- Evaluate land for development potential, including zoning, utilities, site conditions, and financial feasibility.
- Present acquisition opportunities and recommendations to company leadership.
- Monitor local market trends, zoning activity, and competitive developments.
- Represent the company at industry events and networking opportunities. Qualifications
- State of Tennessee Real Estate License (or in the process of obtaining one)
- Bachelor's degree in real estate, Business, Finance, Planning, Civil Engineering or related field
- 2+ years of land acquisition or commercial real estate experience.
- Experience sourcing and closing residential land transactions.
- Understanding of zoning, entitlement, and residential development processes.
- Ability to evaluate development opportunities and perform basic financial analysis.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple projects independently.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and common real estate research tools. Performance Expectations The successful candidate will:
