Paralegal or Legal Assistant, Estate Planning Team - Alexandria Office Position Overview This Paralegal or Legal Assistant position will be an integral member of Pemberton Law Firm's Estate Planning team, supporting Attorney Nicholas J. Heydt in Alexandria, Minnesota. The role involves providing comprehensive assistance with a range of estate planning, probate, real estate, land use, business succession, agricultural, and business/corporate law matters, as well as performing other related responsibilities as assigned.
Position Information Work Arrangement:
Hybrid; a minimum of three days per week in the office.
Hours:
Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m. (37.5 hours per week).
Hourly Wage:
$22-$26 per hour. Candidates with a paralegal degree or certificate may be eligible for placement at the top of the pay range.
Position Status:
Permanent, full-time, non-supervisory.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit for extended periods and lift or move file boxes as needed.

Essential Responsibilities Calendar and monitor case deadlines. Communicate with clients to gather information and relay periodic updates. Assist attorney in preparing for meetings. Collect potential client information. Complete additional assignments as required/assigned. Qualifications Pemberton Law Firm is willing to train candidates who demonstrate a strong work ethic, problem-solving skills, and a desire to contribute to the team. Paralegal degree or certificate preferred but not required; candidates with relevant experience or education are encouraged to apply. Minimum two years of general office experience. Associate degree required. Strong organization and communication skills. Demonstrated ability to take initiative and solve problems independently. Flexible, adaptable, and able to adjust to changing needs.
Pay:
$22.00 - $26.00 per hour
