As the firm continues to grow and evolve, Moreland Properties is seeking a Director of Agent Development to help our agents thrive, strengthen our culture of excellence, and support the firm's long-term growth strategy. Reporting to company President Sarah Railey, the Director of Agent Development will serve as a trusted partner, coach, mentor, and resource for Moreland agents. Success in this role requires strong relationship-building skills, deep real estate expertise, and a passion for helping agents build successful businesses. The ideal candidate is a mentor before a manager and a leader who elevates both people and performance. Key Responsibilities Agent Development Coach and mentor agents on business planning, goal setting, and pipeline management Develop systems that improve agent productivity, consistency, and long-term success Serve as a trusted advisor to agents, supporting both performance improvement and continued growth Lead the firm's training strategy and educational programs, including sales, contracts, negotiations, industry trends, and best practices Recruiting and Retention Partner with leadership to identify, recruit, evaluate, and onboard high-quality agents Strengthen agent engagement and retention through proactive relationship-building, Support long-term talent development, including growth pathways and succession planning across the brokerage Contract and Compliance Expertise Partner with compliance leadership as needed to support contract compliance and risk management on behalf of the firm Keep agents informed on market, regulatory, and industry developments Apply industry expertise to reinforce brokerage standards and best practices Strategic Leadership Maintain deep industry and market expertise to inform firm strategy and agent support Serve as a visible leader who strengthens the Moreland brand, culture, and reputation Partner with the President on strategic initiatives that advance the firm's long-term goals Ideal Candidate 8+ years of residential real estate experience, with a strong understanding of the luxury market Proven ability to coach, mentor, recruit, and develop high-performing agents Active Texas Real Estate license with deep knowledge of contracts, transactions, and industry practices Respected reputation and strong relationships within the Austin or Texas real estate community Strong communicator with a collaborative, servant-leader mindset Passionate about Austin, its neighborhoods, and exceptional client experiences Compensation Competitive base salary plus performance-based incentives tied to recruiting, retention, agent productivity, and company growth, targeting $100,000 - $140,000 annually. Role Structure Full-time position supporting agents across all Moreland office locations, primarily officing at 3825 Lake Austin Blvd. Dedicated office and time at Moreland's Lake Travis office as well.
