Trust & Estates Legal Assistant Aide Location:
Dallas, TX or Houston, TX Schedule:

Not available Placements Unlimited is seeking a Legal Assistant Aide to support attorneys and legal assistants within a Trust & Estates practice. This role is heavily focused on file management, document organization, scanning, indexing, and maintaining both physical and electronic client files . The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable working with a large volume of confidential legal documents. Key Responsibilities Scan, copy, organize, profile, and electronically file estate planning and client documents. Prepare and organize executed estate planning documents, including spiral notebooks and secure storage of original documents. Maintain accurate inventories of original documents stored in the firm's vault. Prepare draft transmittal letters for clients and provide them to attorneys or legal assistants. Scan, clean, organize, and index documents into client files. Manage electronic files and folders using ShareFile and NetDocuments . Maintain organized physical files and minimize unnecessary paper files in attorney and legal assistant workspaces. Process client-supplied documents, including scanning, copying, indexing, storing, returning, or disposing of documents as directed. Assist attorneys and legal assistants with copying, faxing, scanning, certified mail, and other administrative tasks. Scan and save green cards, fax confirmations, attorney notes, and research into NetDocuments. Monitor emails and respond to file-related requests from attorneys and legal assistants. Work with electronic storage devices, including hard drives, flash drives, and CDs. Pull client files and documents for attorneys and legal assistants and return them to the file room when work is complete. Identify superseded original documents and follow established procedures for removing and securely storing or returning them. Assist with other file-related projects and administrative duties as assigned. Qualifications Approximately 1 year of professional experience performing file clerk, legal assistant, administrative, or similar duties. Previous experience in a law firm or professional services environment preferred. Strong organizational and file-management skills. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to handle confidential client information professionally. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work in a busy environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office , including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience with NetDocuments and/or ShareFile is a plus. Physical Requirements Ability to retrieve and distribute files, documents, and file boxes weighing up to 20 lbs. Ability to place and retrieve materials from shelving up to 8 feet high . Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time. Pay :
50-60k yearly
Schedule :
