As a leasing agent, you will be the face of Meritus, responsible for attracting and retaining tenants for our portfolio of properties. You will play a vital role in ensuring these properties are fully occupied and tenants are happy with their experience with Meritus. What you'll do- includes but is not limited to: Conduct property tours and showcase available units to prospective tenants Respond to inquiries from potential tenants and provide information about the property Process rental applications, including conducting background and credit checks Prepare lease agreements and ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately Collect rent payments and maintain tenant records in a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) Coordinate move-in and move-out inspections with tenants Address tenant concerns and maintenance requests in a timely manner Assist with property maintenance, including scheduling repairs and coordinating with vendors Utilize phone etiquette to handle incoming calls and provide excellent customer service Upsell additional services or amenities to current and prospective tenants Maintain positive relationships with tenants to ensure high levels of tenant satisfaction Please note: this position requires frequent commuting between properties
