! We are seeking a friendly and reliable Cashier to join our small grocery store team. The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service while efficiently handling transactions and maintaining a clean, organized checkout area.

Key Responsibilities:

• Customer Service:

• Greet customers warmly as they approach the register.
• Answer questions about products, store policies, and promotions.
• Handle returns, exchanges, and resolve complaints professionally.

• Cash Handling:

• Operate the cash register, processing cash, credit, and debit transactions.
• Ensure accuracy in calculating totals and providing correct change.
• Balance the register at the beginning and end of each shift.

• Sales and Promotions:

• Inform customers about ongoing deals and special promotions.
• Upsell or suggest additional products when appropriate.
• Maintain a

Clean Workstation:

• Keep the checkout area tidy and well-organized.
• Regularly clean counters and the credit card machine.
• Assist with

Bagging:

• Help customers bag their groceries, especially during busy periods.
• Restocking the

Counter:

• Ensure impulse-buy items (candy, gum, magazines) are stocked and displayed neatly.

• Monitor Store Security:

• Stay alert for suspicious behavior and potential theft.
• Report security concerns to store management.

Qualifications:

• Previous cashier or retail experience preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to handle cash and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and a positive attitude.
