Music & Arts seeks a full-time Senior Sales Associate to drive sales and service in our retail store. In this role, you'll guide students, parents, and educators in selecting band and orchestra instruments, rentals, accessories, and lessons. You will lead the sales floor, model exceptional customer service, handle POS transactions, support merchandising, and help train junior associates. You'll collaborate with school service reps, promote lessons and events, and meet sales goals while maintaining a friendly, inclusive, and music-focused environment that supports our education-driven mission. Responsibilities Provide consultative sales support for instruments, rentals, accessories, and lessons Lead the sales floor and model high-level customer service standards Process sales, rentals, returns, and lesson enrollments using POS systems Support merchandising, inventory organization, and store presentation Help train and mentor junior sales associates Collaborate with school service representatives to support local music programs Promote music lessons, events, and special programs to customers Meet or exceed individual and store sales and performance goals Resolve customer issues professionally and maintain strong relationships Uphold company policies and contribute to a positive, inclusive culture Required Skills Retail sales Point-of-sale (POS) systems Cash handling and reconciliation Product knowledge of musical instruments Customer relationship management Merchandising and inventory organization Upselling and cross-selling Lesson and rental program enrollment Basic computer skills (email, spreadsheets, scheduling) Conflict resolution and issue escalation
