for this position. We are a fast-paced, independently owned shipping, mailbox, notary, printing, and business-services store. This position is ideal for someone who is confident working with customers, pays extremely close attention to detail, learns quickly, and can eventually operate independently without constant supervision.

Alameda, CA Responsibilities include: Perform California notarial services Assist customers with USPS, UPS, and FedEx shipping Accurately enter customer names and addresses and prepare shipping labels Receive, organize, and distribute mailbox customer mail and packages Process mailbox payments and renewals Handle printing, copying, scanning, faxing, and laminating Process cash and card transactions accurately Assist with packaging and retail services Maintain an organized, professional customer-service environment Follow written SOPs and established procedures Learn additional AMBP services as training progresses Eventually open and/or close the store independently
Requirements:
Current California Notary Public commission — required Reliable and punctual Reliable phone/service for communication during scheduled shifts Exceptional attention to detail Comfortable handling cash and customer transactions Able to follow written procedures and reference training materials independently Strong reading, typing, and basic computer skills Professional appearance and communication Comfortable working independently after training Willing to ask questions when genuinely unsure while also using provided SOPs/resources to problem-solve What we're looking for We're looking for someone who takes ownership of their work. Accuracy is more important than rushing. You will receive hands-on training and written procedures, but we're specifically looking for someone who can retain that training, use the resources provided, and progressively become more independent. This position has the potential for additional responsibility and growth for the right person.
